Notes: Half of the coffees contained in this blend were produced following sustainable ecological and socio-economic criteria developed by the Sustainable Agricultural Network, a coalition of independent, environment-focused non-governmental organizations. Café Excellence is a roaster/retailer located in Audubon, Pennsylvania owned by the Valerio family, whose history in coffee stretches back to 1958.
Blind assessment: In the aroma sweet caramel and nut tones. In the cup muted acidity, full, rounded mouthfeel and a woody but rich flavor complicated by hints of nut and chocolate, all of which carry into the finish.
Who should drink it: A smooth, rich, quiet cup.
